Description:

The picture of this cocktail has been displayed millions of times on cellphones and desktops through social media. Aiming to showcase the color changing property of this gin to its full potential, this recipe has been asked from us countless number of times. We have decided to share with you two versions of this cocktail which have struck a perfect balance between good taste and visual beauty.

VERSION A

Ingredients:

• 1 cup dried butterfly pea flowers

• 1 oz Panoramix gin

• 1/2 oz Raspberry syrup (Monsieur Cocktail)

• 3 oz Mott's Mr & Ms T. Blue Raspberry Martini syrup

• Tonic léger Génération Sodas

• Crushed ice

Preparation:

1. Put 1 cup of dried butterfly pea flowers into 3 cups of boiling water for 15 minutes. Pour the liquid inside an ice tray and freeze. Put the remains in the refrigerator.

2. Full a second ice tray with regular water and freeze.

3. Crush the ice cubes made from regular water and fill a Highball, Collins or Hurricane glass to 1/4 or 1/3 with the crushed ice.

4. Crush the dark blue ice cubes made from the butterfly pea flower liquid and fill the glass to the 3/4 with the ice.

5. Add 1 oz of Panoramix gin, 1/2 oz Monsieur Cocktail's Raspberry syrup and 3 oz Mott's blue raspberry syrup.

6. Fill with Tonic Léger by Generation Sodas.

7. If needed, add drops of the remaining dark blue liquid from the dried butterfly pea flowers

8. Garnish with a slice of lemon.

Notes:

We've used the butterfly pea flower, which is already a key ingredient in our Panoramix gin, in bigger quantity in this cocktail to accentuate the color changing property of the flower and give the cocktail different shades of blue / purple / pink.
